Provider Service Core

Main Technical Qualification Requirements

  • Understanding of computer networking systems and technologies
  • Knowledge of mobile networks architectures: 3G/4G, IMS
  • Understanding of IMS architecture: HSS, P/S/I CSCF, SBC
  • Understanding of packet CS core architecture: HLR, MSS, STP, PCRF
  • Any knowledge or experience in cloud and container technologies: Docker, K8s
  • Understanding of SIP call flows and data services
  • Skills in Linux OS
  • Knowledge and experience in working with virtualization platforms: VMWare, KVM

  • Able to work in a collaborative team-oriented environment
  • Fluent English - spoken and written
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with peers, customers and management in a team environment
  • Good in documentation, reporting and knowledge sharing
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Role Resposibilities

  • Configuration and installation of communication equipment and specialized software for carrier-grade solutions
  • Technical maintenance and support of production voice and data solutions implemented by Smartcom
  • Design, deploy, configure and test customer solutions end-to-end
  • Troubleshooting non-standard solutions with customers and internal units
  • Root cause analysis of resolved issues
  • Provide subject matter expertise as required
  • Communicate on a project basis with solution partners and vendors
  • Document and communicate in detail all interactions with the customer 
  • Customer consulting and communication with partners for troubleshooting and tracking of technical issues
  • Develop configuration and maintenance procedures
  • Collaboration with other team members on various deployment approaches, issues and challenges
  • Accidents management

Value Added

  • CCNA or other similar industry certificate(s)
  • Experience in any container management platform
  • Previous experience in technical support
  • Understanding and hands-on experience with network routing & switching 
  • Understanding/hands-on experience related to installing, configuration and maintenance of voice and data systems: SBC, gateways, routers, switches
  • Ability to understand and analyze Wireshark traces 
  • Radius and Diameter protocols knowledge 
  • Experience with carrier-grade or enterprise voice and/or data systems
  • Telecommunications, IT or other similar university specialization
  • Experience with Linux OS system/server administration
