BIX is the main internet interchange for the Bulgarian market. As such, the requirements for its IP solution were very specific with respect to capacity, resilience and ease of monitoring and management of multicast traffic. Smartcom designed, integrated and deployed the entire IP network infrastructure.
We installed a special toolkit that provides full and detailed traffic visibility and facilitates accurate wholesale billing. Additional systems were integrated to guard against DDoS attacks directed at BIX’s customers.
