Gartner has just released its Magic Quadrant for Industrial IoT platforms for 2019. Three companies are listed as Visionaries: PTC, Hitachi and Software AG. There are no companies listed as Leaders or Challengers. Why is that?
The analysis seems to suggest that these platforms still lack significant market traction and business impact in the IIoT space. This is logical, as the overall IIoT market is still maturing and customers are using many different technologies. You can find the source publication here.
